FOTA26 Presenter Information & Guidelines

We look forward to welcoming our presenters to the FOTA 2026 Annual Conference, November 7–8, 2026, in St. Augustine, Florida!

Please review the information below to prepare for your presentation.

Professional Session & Professional Poster Presenters

The following information applies to all professional session speakers and professional poster presenters.

Presentation Materials & Guidelines

Speaker & Presentation Guidelines – All professional session and professional poster presenters should review these guidelines.
Presentation Template – Google Slides – Required for professional session presentations.
Accepted presentation formats: PDF or PowerPoint (.PPT).
Poster Template (Optional) – Download a copy of the PowerPoint poster template. Please do not edit the original.
Presentation Upload Deadline: October 15, 2026. Presentation materials must be submitted through Oxford Abstracts.

Optional Session Handouts

Handouts are not required. Presenters may upload additional supporting materials, including research documents, resources, or videos, to Oxford Abstracts.

Optional Handout Upload Deadline: November 1, 2026.
Conference attendees will have access to submitted information through Oxford Abstracts, with access expected to continue for approximately two weeks following the event.

Presenting at the Conference

Review the FOTA26 Conference Schedule to confirm your assigned presentation date, time, and location.
Arrive at your assigned session or presentation area at least 10 minutes before your scheduled start time.
Professional session presentations will have an assigned moderator to assist with session coordination, time management, and technical difficulties.
Be prepared to engage with attendees and answer questions about your work.
All presenters must register for the conference, attend in person, and present to a live audience.
Professional poster presenters are responsible for bringing their printed posters and setting them up before their assigned presentation time.

Student Poster Presenters

The following guidelines apply specifically to student poster presentations.

Poster Preparation & Display

Maximum poster size: 36 x 48 inches. Posters must not exceed these dimensions.
Student Poster Guidelines – All student poster presenters should review these guidelines.
Poster Template (Optional) – Download a copy of the PowerPoint template. Please do not edit the original.
Presenters are responsible for printing and bringing their posters to the conference.
Posters will be displayed on partition boards using thumbtacks provided by FOTA. Foam board or solid poster backing is not required.
Posters should be professionally printed, visually organized, and easy to read.
Arrive early to locate your assigned poster area and complete setup before your presentation.

All student posters will be available for in-person viewing only. Virtual poster presentations will not be offered.

During Your Poster Session

Remain near your poster throughout your assigned presentation period.
Professional attire and conduct are expected.
Prepare a brief 2–3 minute overview of your project, including its purpose, methods, findings, and implications for occupational therapy.
Be prepared to answer questions and engage with conference attendees.
If presenting as a group, coordinate with your team so everyone is prepared to participate.

Conference Registration – All Presenters

All professional session presenters, professional poster presenters, and student poster presenters are required to register for the FOTA26 Conference.

Registration is required for all individuals presenting, including each member of a group presentation.
