Sabina Khan, Ph.D., OTD, OTR/L, is an Assistant Professor, Women's Health researcher, and Chair of the Research Committee at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Miami, FL. She has received the 2025 Vince Hutchins Leadership Award from the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs for national leadership in advocating for a society responsive to the needs of women, children, youth, and families, as well as the 2025 Emerging Scholar Award from Diverse: Issues in Education for excellence in teaching, research, and service.

As the author of Occupational Therapy and Women’s Health, the first women's health textbook in the profession, Dr. Khan is committed to bridging gaps in women's health within the profession of occupational therapy. Since 2018, she has focused on supporting pregnant and postpartum teens through wellness programs designed to meet their unique needs. In 2024, Dr. Khan led an international interprofessional women’s health training in Pakistan to enhance care for marginalized populations.

With numerous peer-reviewed publications and national presentations, Dr. Khan is advancing research in women's health, mental wellness, and interventions for marginalized communities. She remains deeply committed to mentorship, education, and making a meaningful impact in both research and practice.
